Welcome to the University of California San Francisco's Division of Allergy Immunology Website.
As an integral part of the Department of Medicine, the Allergy/Immunology Division’s mission is to provide expert medical care for immune function disorders, to conduct innovative basic and clinical research aimed at elucidating causes, developing better methods for diagnosis, treatment and prevention, and to train expert clinicians, teachers, and physician scientists in the specialty The A/I Division’s focus of interest includes disorders of heightened immunity, such as allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, dermatitis, and asthma in addition to disorders of impaired immunity, such as hypogammaglobulemia and other, non-HIV related immunodeficiencies.
The division’s activities are linked to those of the Asthma Clinical Research Center (ACRC) and the Immunology Program at UCSF. While few in number, the Division’s faculty represents a diverse range of interests and expertise. We look forward to facilitating communication and information access to patients, practicing physicians, scientists, and trainees interested in a career in Allergy/Immunology via this website.
