Katherine E. Gundling, MD, is an Associate Clinical Professor of Allergy and Immunology. She serves as the Practice Chief, and site director for the Fellowship program. Although she actively supervises trainees in all areas of allergy and immunology, she has particular interest in adult immunodeficiency disorders, the chronic sinusitis/asthma link, and urticaria.
She has recently completed editing, “The ACP Guide to Evidence Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine,” and co-wrote three chapters, including Chapter One (“CAM: What is it?), Chapter Two (“The Clinical Encounter”), and Chapter Three (“Allergic Disorders”). Previously, she was principal investigator of a clinical trial that evaluated the immunomodulatory properties of Panax ginseng.
